๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ COURSE DESCRIPTION

The Ocean Grove Running Festival starts and finishes at the Ocean Grove Hotel on Sunday 22 November 2026.

The course takes participants from the Ocean Grove Hotel precinct and heads onto Bonnyvale Road, before continuing up Bonnyvale Road and turning right into Shell Road.

The event features a combination of road and pathway sections *21km only), with flat and achievable courses suitable for runners and walkers of all abilities.

๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ 5km Course

The 5km course starts at the Ocean Grove Hotel and follows the early section of the main course towards Bonnyvale Road.

Participants will continue to the designated 5km turnaround point before returning along the same route to finish back at the Ocean Grove Hotel.

๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ 10km Course

The 10km course follows the 5km route before continuing further up Bonnyvale Road and turning right into Shell Road.

Participants will continue to the designated 10km turnaround point before returning along the marked route to the finish line at the Ocean Grove Hotel.

๐Ÿƒ Half Marathon Course

The 21.1km Half Marathon follows the main course from the Ocean Grove Hotel, heading towards Bonnyvale Road, continuing up Bonnyvale Road and turning right into Shell Road.

Half Marathon participants then continue beyond the 10km course and complete the extended section around The Point Estate before returning along the marked course to finish at the Ocean Grove Hotel.

โ›ฐ๏ธ Elevation

The course is generally flat and achievable, with some gentle rises along Bonnyvale Road and Shell Road.

Approximate elevation details will be confirmed once the final GPS course files are available.

๐Ÿšฉ Course Markings

The course will be clearly marked with directional signage, cones, flags and turnaround markers.

Participants must follow all signage, marshal directions and designated turnaround points.

Participants should be aware that the 21km course includes road and shared pathway sections.

Please remain alert, stay left where possible and be courteous to other runners, residents and members of the public.

For safety reasons, dogs, bikes, scooters, prams and rollerblades are not permitted on course.

It is each participantโ€™s responsibility to follow the correct course and complete the full distance entered.

Failure to complete the full course, including all required turnaround points, may result in a DNF or disqualification from the results.
